Overview—1 Hour Tour

We will pick you up from any hotel in downtown Memphis and show you as much of the city as possible in one hour. We’ll cover all the recording studios—past and present— major historical music sites, and take you to important rockabilly, blues, soul, and rock n roll sites as well as give you the total look and feel of America’s funkiest city.

Cost: $75 for up to 2 people. After 2 people, add $15 per person.

Overview — 3 Hour Tour

We will pick you up from any hotel in downtown Memphis. For 3 hours we will indulge you with the full spectrum of Memphis music history—from W.C. Handy and jug band music, all the way through Elvis, rockabilly, Stax and Hi Records up to the current Memphis Sound hot spots. This tour will include the complete Memphis music story and visit all music sites as well as other significant locations throughout Memphis’ storied past. This tour will also include admission to at least one of the following museums: Sun Studio, Rock ‘N Soul Museum, Gibson Guitar Factory, or Stax Museum of American Soul Music, or Graceland.

Cost: $180 for 2 people. For more than 2 people, add $50 per person.

Overview — Custom Music or Memphis Restaurant Tour

We will pick you up at any location in Memphis and take you to the music sites and sounds that you have chosen in our custom menu. We can mix and match historical sites with musicians that you are interested in as well as any other sites you wish to visit. 

Alternatively, we can take you on a Memphis culinary excursion to the finest of down-home Southern cooking.  Whatever your pleasure might be in the dining world:  bbq, catfish, soul food, fried okra, sweet pried pies or tasty cakes.  Shangri-la tour guides have been eating at off the wall, outrageously great-tasting spots for over 30 years!  Come along for the tastiest tour in the South! (food expenses not included in tour price)
