When most people think of Memphis, the first things that probably come to mind are Graceland and Elvis. Even though Memphis has a number of museums and a zoo, the city is most known for its music. There are a number of tours you can take that include Graceland, Sun Studios and Stax Records Museum.
Downtown Memphis in the evening is the place to be to hear the music. During a stroll down the Historic Beale Street you will be able to hear a variety of music including jazz, blues, rock-n-roll and soul music. There is plenty of parking so it is convenient to drive downtown and go to different areas.

Another option for music during the afternoon and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown is Old Millington Vineyard and Winery. It is located 14 miles from downtown Memphis and has offers live music on Sundays from 3:00 to 6:00 from March thru October.
